If you ever find yourself scripting then this command must be added to your inventory; NirCmd  http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html It is a free dos util (about 30 kb) that will allow you to script a ton of different things, like; Read/write from registry, dial ras, take screen shots, stop/start/restart/pause services, change displaymode, create shortcuts, set volume for the speaker, restart/shutdown windows (both remote and local) – and as if this was not enough you can even batch many of the commands eg. create a list/file with computer names that a command need executing on and then just point to this list/file. Very powerful and easy to use.
