I recently got a CUE file containing a whole Audio CD album, but as I wanted to transfer the music to my Ipod I was puzzled how to do.. I could burn a cd and then rip it, but this felt like a de-tour . A little browsing the net came up with a neat little freeware utility “Medieval CUE Splitter V1.0”, this neat utility split up the CUE to mp3 files in no time. Nice. But why someone need to create these CUE files in the first place is beyond me.
Concerts, musicals, music in general..
During the last six months I have caught myself exploring YouTube.com on more than one occasion, my what a treasure box. I quite enjoy the waste musical scope and have spent quite some time browsing/listening through the hours and hours of excellent (and not so excellent) musical entries, I quite enjoy listening to the “amateure” recordings of various songs – some are surprisingly excellent performed.
Should you wish to “harvest” some of the videos for your Ipod or just for enjoying offline I can recommend “Any DVD converter” which can both download and convert the YouTube videos (mind you the quality may not be perfect on your 42″ plasma ;-))..

And finnaly this one – both pleasing for ears and eyes :-), now I somehow regret not taking French in School 🙂
Some weeks ago my daughter and I attended the Musical “Mamma Mia” performed in Horsens Denmark. And to use an Abba phrase “my – my – how can I resist you!”, what a truly excellent show. I would say Mamma Mia ranks at the top of any live performance I have attended for years, if not ever.. Money well spent.
And as a little twist, this summer the show will hit cinemas as a movie/musical with quite a promising cast even, so good things do get even better.. No doubt I’ll be in the THX center of that performance as well once it hits the northern Europe.
Actually Celine Dion is not the only one who get the pleasure of entertaining me 🙂 on March 1st 2008 I’m going to see the “Mamma Mia” musical, based on 22 Abba hits… Almost as great as Celine Dion…
Yes, its now officially true… I am now the proud owner of 4 tickets to Celine Dion’s concert in Copenhagen next year… It only took 1½ hours constant internet hammering on the ticket office and constant calling their overloaded phonesystem…
Unfortunately I had to settle with cheap rows, but hey I GOT TICKETS… He he, guess my daughter is even prouder as she is among the 4 people going 😉
I am very much looking forward to this, Celine Dion has a special place in my life.. It is actually a bit sad, but never the less. The day my mother died we all gathered in her house, and right there on her CD player was “I’m alive – Celine Dion”, yes I know odd with someone dying and remembering them by a song called “I’m alive” but every time I hear it it reminds me of my mother and that night in her house… I tend to say that Celine Dion has the voice of an angel, and with this scenory in mind that could actually be just what she was for us that night…
